Abstract

The study aimed to analyze the impact of transformational leadership dimensions (idealized influence, inspirational motivation, and intellectual stimulation) on reducing workplace bullying in Iraqi governmental banks operating in Baghdad, while examining the mediating role of organizational humor dimensions (self-enhancing humor and aggressive humor). The study adopted a descriptive-analytical approach, and data were collected from a sample of 363 respondents and analyzed using Smart PLS software. The results revealed that transformational leadership contributes to enhancing positive organizational humor and reducing aggressive humor, which in turn leads to lower levels of workplace bullying. The findings also indicated that organizational humor plays a partial mediating role in the relationship between transformational leadership and workplace bullying, highlighting the importance of supportive leadership practices in fostering a positive work environment and reducing negative workplace behaviors.
