Maternal Sensitivity in Widows
Abstract
The woman represents a major and important pillar in the social structure. She is affected by the interactions that take place between her family systems and the obstacles she faces that affect her relationship with her children. She is required to influence them in support of a successful and healthy life. Therefore, the safety of society depends on the role of the woman in it, as it reflects the importance The role that a woman occupies in society, whether she is a “mother, daughter, sister, or wife.” The role assigned to her entails bearing the responsibility placed on her, especially if she becomes the breadwinner for her family members. The current research aims to measure maternal sensitivity among widows, and identify maternal sensitivity among widows. According to the age variable (19-29) years, (30-39) years, (40 years and above), and to achieve the research objectives, the researcher adopted the scale (Al-Zubaidi, 2021), and the research sample reached (150) widows from Baghdad Governorate, next to Al-Karkh, After processing the data statistically and extracting the tool’s validity, reliability, and discriminatory power, the researcher reached the following results: that the sample’s widows are characterized by maternal sensitivity, and that there are differences in maternal sensitivity and fit the upper average, which is the first age group (19-29) years, and based on this Results: The researcher developed a set of recommendations and proposals.
