Spatial Analysis of Elections in Kirkuk Governorate

Abstract

The research seeks to identify the winning lists and parties in the elections and to determine the electoral support centers for them, and then to know the number of seats that were obtained in these elections.

One of the most important findings of the research is that these elections resulted in the victory of (9) political entities that shared the seats allocated to Kirkuk Governorate (12 seats), as the Kurdistan Democratic Party, the Kurdistan Alliance / Yamani Kurdistan and the Independents each obtained (two seats) for each of them. The first circle is a strong support area for them. The New Generation Movement, the United Iraqi Turkmen Front, the Conquest Alliance, the National Progress Alliance, the Arab Alliance in Kirkuk, and the National Contract Alliance each obtained (one seat) for each of them. The second constituency represented a strong support area for them, and finally the third constituency represented a strong support area for the Taqaddam Alliance, the Arab Alliance in Kirkuk, and the National Contract Alliance.
